If you didn’t get to catch Vh1′s Behind The Music with Ne-Yo last night, then you should definitely watch it when you get a chance. That is if you are a fan, of course.
Once again, Ne-Yo proved to be a very humble, intelligent and good-hearted guy.
Ne-Yo started off by telling how he got into music industry and refused to go hip hop when he got his first deal.
After this he was released from the record label he was signed to at the time and had to pursue a songwriting career, making a breakthrough with the song he penned for Mario, “Let Me Love You.” Later on he got a deal with Def Jam and even became a VIP of A&R in Motown Records.
While his success was rapidly growing, his personal life was far from being great. Ne Yo met a girl by the name Jessica White who turned out to be a gold digger and a liar! To the point that she lied to him about being pregnant with his child and he thought that it was his till the baby was few months old. Ne-Yo’s mother made her suspicions clear and Ne-Yo agreed to do the paternity test, which showed that the baby was not his. Needless to say, how hurt Ne-Yo was to realize that he was lied to all this time and the son he thought was his, was not his at all.

Although he tried to continue taking care of the boy, Jessica had the audacity to take him to court for the child support. After they settled out for a certain sum of money, Jessica and her son disappeared and Ne-Yo never heard from them again.
Now, Ne-Yo is in a happy place with his long-time girlfriend Monyetta and their two kids.
