Needless to say, we saw this coming. Not even a day after Evelyn released a public statement, the news surfaced that she filed for divorce, claiming her marriage “irretrievably broken.”
TMZ broke the story, claiming that Evelyn signed the official divorce papers and filed them in Florida today, asking for Pre-nuptial agreement to be upheld and for Chad to pay for her attorneys.

In the meantime, Chad issued a public apology on his website, saying that he still loves Evelyn to death.

“I would like to wish Evelyn well and will never say anything bad about her because I truly love her to death.
To all the fans and supporters I have disappointed, you have my sincerest apologies.
I will stay positive and get through this tough period in my life. I will continue to be positive and train hard for another opportunity in the NFL.”
