Burger King Removes Its Commercial With Mary J Blige In It

Brand new commercial of Burger King chicken wrap surfaced the internet yesterday, but people were not happy. The fact that Mary J Blige was in the commercial singing, “crispy chicken, fresh lettuce, three cheeses, ranch dressing, wrapped up in a tasty flour tortilla,” to the tune of her latest “Don’t Mind” single cause public outraged. A lot of the audience found it very stereotypical and were disappointed that Mary J Blige would agree to be a part of it.
Even entrepreneur and author Steve Stoute shared his disappointment on Twitter:
“The issue with the burger king commercial is that these agencies visit culture and then do work that is so in authentic it’s embarrassing.”
Word is that MJB was paid $2 million dollars for the ad campaign. Other celebrities participating in the campaign are David Beckham, Selma Hayek and Jay Leno.
Starting from today the commercial with Mary J Blige was removed from Burger King’s YouTube hub.

LaLa rocked $995 Christian Louboutin Summerisma sandals. Huge price difference, although I like both items, together they don’t go that well. What do you think? Take a closer look below.
