According to National Enquirer, First Lady has blown $10 million of U.S. taxpayers money on “ritzy vacations” for the past year. White House source claims that Michelle Obama is taking advantage of her privileged positions when most Americans are struggling to make ends meet.
“It’s disgusting,” the source says. “”When it’s all added up, she’s spent more than $10 million in taxpayer money on her vacations! The vacations are totally Michelle’s idea. She’s like a junkie. She can’t schedule enough getaways, and she lives from one to the next – all the while sticking it to hard-working Americans.”
The 47-year-old mother-of-two is believed to have taken 42 days of holiday in the past year, including a four-day ski trip to Vail, Colorado where she spent $2,000 a night on a suite in Sebastian hotel and her $375,000 break in Spain. As for the recent family’s nine-day vacation in Martha’s Vineyard, the rental of the Blue Heron Farm alone costed an estimated $50,000 a week. The President has already come under fire when he decided to go on a family retreat when the country is still in a recession, but the situation got worse when he and his wife decided to fly separately which costed even more.
The magazine also reported that Michelle Obama had been going on “wild shopping sprees,” which her husband is furious about and does not approve.
Whether it’s true or not, but everyone deserves a good family retreat, especially when your job is to get the most powerful country in the world out of crisis.
