5.9 Earthquake Strikes East Coast + Pleasure P Thinks Government Is Involved

So while Westcoasters are laughing at us for freaking out over a little tremor that they are used to on a regular basis, for people on the East Coast the 5.9-Magnitude earthquake earlier today came as a total shock. It was based in Virginia and sent the tremor from D.C. and all the way to New England, surely didn’t pass New York City by either. Even though the quake didn’t do any reported damage, but it did shake some nerves and buildings in the major metropolitan centers in D.C. were evacuated. The officials also pointed out that East Coast should be ready for the aftershocks.

Some people, however, don’t think that the earthquake had a natural cause. One of them is R&B singer Pleasure P who blames it on the government. Check what he tweeted:

“Man thats the government with that bull s**t earth quakes don’t hit the east coast..People are asking me how can the government make an earth quake hit the east coast, the same way the can send a man to the moon or blow up some s**t with the push of a button. I feel that there is so much s**t we don’t know about.”

Lauryn Hill Reminisces On Making “The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill”

Lauryn Hill is rocking the stage of Rock The Bells 2011 Festival this year, giving a full performance of her solo debut “The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill.” In an interview with Reebok Classics, she reflected on what was it like to create such a classic record.

“I think we understood that it was going to be landmark, but I didn’t understand to what degree other people would be really impacted by what was done.I was really trying to express myself.I was excited about taking this music that I thought was beautiful, old school doo-wop music, cats used to harmonize and the beautiful harmonies and melodies and just taking that and making something contemporary that my generation could get excited about. I think that “The Miseducation [Of Lauryn Hill]“ was about being a bridge between generations that could very have drifted off in separate directions. I made a piece of music from a very sincere place.”
